I am trying to load dwg files into projectwise and extract the x.y coordinates to map them out. Has anyone been able to successfully do that? I am able to read dwg files successfully using microstation v8i. I can't seem to get this functionality to work with the new version pf microstation.
Projectwise Connect version 10.00.03.329.
Microstation Connect version 10.16.00.80
what exactly are you trying to do..?
you open dwg with connect?.
can you use the export coordinates tool ?
what type of objects are they?

Hi Byron,
I believe the environment you are using is not certified. Review ProjectWise Version Support Matrix https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/ProjectWise%20Version%20Support%20Matrix-v1/en/GUID-1A2E193F-C3D9-4709-92A2-E5B9301B5946.html
That version of ProjectWise is only certified for MicroStation SS4 (08.11.09.873) and SS10 (08.11.09.919).
Please post your thread in PW forum https://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/f/

If nothing has changed then you need VBA macro for that as default utility didn't work correctly.

export file with pwise uncontrolled to your c:\temp\export, then work on it outside of pwise with microstation then drag and drop via windows explorer back into pwise and let pwise do a version up...
I am just trying to get projectwise to map out the location of the DWG file when I add it to a project in PW explorer.
I am not too familiar with microstation, is the export tool a microstation feature? If so I have not tried that, but if I have to manually extract the XY's and manually assign them to the documents in projectwise explorer that would take too much time, considering the amount of files.
As for type of objects, I am not sure if that is a technical microstation question or if you just mean what are the contents of the dwg. it is a drawing of a section of water lines and gas lines. If there are microstation object types I am not sure where to find that information.
