How do I make a dimension text style to be slanted at 30 degrees in an Isometric drawing? see first picture, the last pic is what I am getting. thanks

I have done this years ago with custom dim style and custom font ie iso left or just use a slant angle in text work great with iso grids and helps create 3d in 2d views... used it in piping iso schematics a lot and look good.. I draw the pipe line first in fake iso and then dim it.

IIRC I’ve done that kind of thing using arbitrary placement mode however I can’t recall if you can get that exact appearance via 2D. You could get it by drawing the detail in 3D and using standard placement modes (e.g. by View).
I see there are some old fonts, ISO_FONT LEFT (30) and ISO_FONTRIGHT (31).
But as Mary says, you can adjust the slant with any text by changing the Slant. It accepts negative values as well (it didn't used to). Also if you label the stuff in true plan, when you create the iso it should iso the text as well.

Can a 2D drawing HAVE an isometric view? Are you using the Isometric lock? Are you using active angles? I'm not sure what method you use to get what you are showing us.
In your text style dialog, General tab, you can turn on the checkbox for "Italics" and that allows you access to the "Slant" option. That may be part of your solution. You could then use that style for your dimensions.

I am working in a 2D drawing, but I have tried it in 3D model but I get mixed results when I reference it in the 2d sheet view.
