Trying to use the new PDF to Vector feature in CE 17. The PDF is only importing as an attachment into Raster Manager, and not rendering the vector lines as shown in the YouTube overview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvCEIwh3UYw&t=18s . I've tried multiple PDFs into new and existing files and had the same result, no rendering. Is there a setting to enable this feature since it is listed as a "Technology Preview" ?

also, does your PDF contain actual vector work, or are they rasterized pages? If it's a PDF made from scanned files, or was printed to pdf with the "rasterized" option turned on, the import won't work.
For our line of work we would like to copy over some of the PDF-Annotations/Markups into the designfile (Lines and Text)
1. Markups are not shown with an attachment nor upon import (no lines, no text, no revision clouds,...)
2. The text from the pdf is dropped?
I found that you can set the PDF Printer to show the Text under Enable Searchable Text: "Editable"
This appears to at least create texts not dropped!
These points are crucial. Otherwise the PDF Import/Attach is useless with our workflow

In PDF Editors you can "Print to" different PDF Drivers.
All I tested end up with Markup graphics but dropped markup texts

Just as fyi. I have shared some (confidential/real world) production file with Pravin (via direct mail). He is in contact with development and promised to update me.
I have filed the below bugs for PDF file issues.
BUG 940736 Markups from PDF file not able to import when we import PDF as vector in DGN file.
BUG 940758 Extra Line strings are created when we import elements from PDF file to MSTN.

Most likely not. We will have another abandoned feature like WMTS only suitable for show-off in marketing materials.
That what I was afraid of that even that this PDF vector import is one of the best I have seen yet without fixing small issues which are left I do not see it usable in production and then trying to explain everything which doesn't work to users. Again endless workarounds. At least with Raster PDF it was simple attach and be happy and when using PDF2DXF conversion could blame the converter. Sometimes it is best not to start something if can't finish it properly.
I will discuss with PM and developer and update you on this.
