I cannot synchronize Google Earth with MicroStation CE. When I try to synch, I get an information box that says that this feature is not supported by versions higher than 188.8.131.5236.
I uninstalled a newer version of Earth and installed 184.108.40.20636 but I still get the information box. It's not a critical issues as the file I have exported doesn't appear to have any issues with location, etc.
This issue was reported in Bug # 802391, Google Earth Synchronization tool displaying error message of incorrect version, for MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 16.2. It has been reported as fixed in Update 17 so we would suggest you upgrade to the latest release.

Hi Andrew, i just checked whether this issue has been fixed but i still get the same error message when i am trying to use sync to Google Earth, capture Google Earth picture or follow Google Earth view.I am using MicroStation CE 10.17.00.209 and Google Earth Pro 220.127.116.1136.
1.Uninstall Google Earth
2.Open Registry Editor
3.HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Google/ and here you should have a folder with the name Google Earth or Google Earth Pro or Google Earth Plus. Generally delete everything what is related to Google Earth.
Look at the screen below from my machine. I deleted both.
The existed folders depend on how many and what version you have installed on the computer.
4.Download the installation file for Google Earth v18.104.22.16836 here
5.Install the Google Earth
7.Open Google Earth and close
8.Open test dgn with simple shape and georeferenced and use the tool Export Google Earth File
9.Observe if Google Earth opens
Hallo Marta, thanks a lot that helped.
APOLOGIES TO MARTA. HER SOLUTION DOES WORK, BUT IT TOOK MORE THAN 1 RESTART OF EARTH.
So my below post is inaccurate and mis-leading.
Followed Marta's instructions.
I tried this today, none of the Synchronize commands work. When I try to synchronize I get Wait Google Earth initializing... forever. Export Google Earth File does work, but it works fine with the current Earth software.
