Hi All,
I cannot synchronize Google Earth with MicroStation CE. When I try to synch, I get an information box that says that this feature is not supported by versions higher than 7.1.8.3036.
I uninstalled a newer version of Earth and installed 7.1.8.3036 but I still get the information box. It's not a critical issues as the file I have exported doesn't appear to have any issues with location, etc.
This issue was reported in Bug # 802391, Google Earth Synchronization tool displaying error message of incorrect version, for MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 16.2. It has been reported as fixed in Update 17 so we would suggest you upgrade to the latest release.

Hi Andrew, i just checked whether this issue has been fixed but i still get the same error message when i am trying to use sync to Google Earth, capture Google Earth picture or follow Google Earth view.I am using MicroStation CE 10.17.00.209 and Google Earth Pro 7.1.8.3036.
Hallo Marta, thanks a lot that helped.
APOLOGIES TO MARTA. HER SOLUTION DOES WORK, BUT IT TOOK MORE THAN 1 RESTART OF EARTH.
So my below post is inaccurate and mis-leading.
Followed Marta's instructions.
I tried this today, none of the Synchronize commands work. When I try to synchronize I get Wait Google Earth initializing... forever. Export Google Earth File does work, but it works fine with the current Earth software.

Hi Marta, I was having the same issue with getting that error when trying to use the "capture google earth image" tool. I followed your steps, and I still get the same error. Any ideas on why that would be happening?
Try to follow the instructions once again and in the beginning add one step more- delete this folder C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Google\GoogleEarth.
Open Google Earth as administrator in step 7.
Notice that Bob mentioned also he needed to restart Google Earth a few times.
Thanks for the additional help Marta. Unfortunately, still getting that same error when I try the capture google image tool.
