Hello!
We have a file where one model is referenced into another within the same file. All [custom] line styles shown in the reference are completely different styles than how they appear in the parent model. This is only the case when the file is opened Read-Only.
Any idea what would be causing this? It's unknown how old the seed file is that was used or if it began from a fresh DGN file. For now, presume it isn't corrupt.
The file appears and can be printed fine if it isn't opened read-only. The question is what's causing it in the first place? This is an odd problem we haven't seen before. It seems like one other forum post (118811) had the same problem, however it was left unanswered.
Thanks!

Hello David,
I missed that one. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Hello! See my post after Tim Hickman's comment for GNN.dgn, and a line style resource file a couple posts later if that's what you're looking for. Thanks
Hi,
Can you create a new file or save it as new file with the issue rather than sharing the original file? Just need the basis area in both master and reference files. I can't help you without any dataset to determine the issue.
Thanks,
Connie Wallace
I think "Visible Dashed Edges" is for display styles, or when you merge a reference into master, so I don't know. The pencil you got is probably updating the reference after you loaded the line styles?
If you save and close the file, make the file read only, then open it up again (while read-only), does the reference in "SHEET" have the exact same line styles as the original in "DETAIL"?
I referenced another instance of the Detail model into the Sheet model and saw a notification in the Ref dialog stating the visible dashed edges were not updated. I clicked on the little pencil icon and the line styles showed up correctly. There is supposed to be a dialog box for this somewhere but I can't locate it off hand
I don't know why my first instance attached the way it did other than I pick Standard Views - Top. Now any time I attach the reference after that first one the line styles show up. Maybe a setting in the Sheet Model was affecting it?
