When making a parametric polar array with gaps these dished plates display correctly.
But why is it that overlapping edges sometimes disappear when doing a 360° parametric array?
Is there a way to display the overlapping plate edges?
it maybe settings:
It's not that. The green plates in the center are a 2 plate polar array and their overlapping edges are visible. Any other ideas?
asuming you already updage gpu drivers and so on.
1. you could give Settings->user->view options a try.
can you share the objekt?
As it turns out, the only reason the center plate may have been showing the edges is because the profile was off center on the Y axis by 0' 0.0012 somehow.
I did not see anything in the view options that seemed to make a difference. It's as if the 360° polar array is making the radial segment a single entity instead of the specified number of entities around.
Here is the file with the Lap variable set to -0' 1.00 but what I want to see is where the plate edges are when it is set to a positive number.

It appears that the faces are being merged because they can share the same underlying surface.
I don't think the array feature is the right solution here. Seems like you want to have a solid that is a single section piece and array the element to avoid any face merging/imprinting, and sliver face creation issues...
Not sure if there's a way to create a parametric element array that uses your Lap variable...hopefully someone more familiar with the area will chime in.
