Is there any way to make 3d terrain from geotiff like in Qgis or other software by one click ?
I hope that in 2022 in Connect there is possible cos 3d terrain is basic project need.
Hi,
It is possible but you need to have Descartes activated (or use a Civil product like OpenRoads) and attach it in the Raster Manager as a Raster Grid.

Yes, i found this but without Descartes ? I mean pure Microstation. You can do this in free Qgis but than you need Blender ... etc.
You can import LandXML to 3D Terrain element. DTM geotiff terrains are not directly supported in Microstation without Descartes.
How you can change geotiff to landXML ?:)
If we could read pixel value from GEOTiff then I could generate XML in Microstation for import but not sure if Microstation can read raster grid without trying to interpret it as RGB value. Otherwise you need to convert TIFF to XML with 3rd party tool.
You could activate Descartes but most likely it will not be cost effective. You have perpetual or SELECT license?
