Since using MicroStation Connection Client I have had nothing but problems with mouse inputs particularly mouse movements being interpreted as clicks I have adjusted mouse settings many times over with no effect. I have tried using different mice but the problem reoccurs it is so bad now that productivity has halved. This is particularly noticeable when placing lines. measuring and copying objects
The setting that has been most helpful is to go into my MicroStation Preferences, to the Input section, and change my mouse (Sensitivity?) there to "Slow". It's not your actual mouse settings as much as it is the way MicroStation is interpreting your mouse.
I'm not in MicroStation right now or I could give you the exact name of it...

Yes, in the Input section of User Preferences.

This issue has been going on for 18 months with no resolve I have recently upgraded my PC and graphics card with no change did not have any issues with Version V8i
I can only tell you I had that same issue moving from v8i to Connect. Real pain. There may be additional settings beside the "slow" that will help. I can't remember what all I changed. There are Microstation Preferences, but also a few settings in Windows.
Being curious, I just set my click sensitivity to "fast", restarted Microstation and was unable to re-produce the extra points defect. So that's odd.
I found V8i so easy to use Nothing but issue after issue with Connect Edition
You aren't alone
