Hi,
I have been trying to create some new line styles needed for a specific project, but when trying to create a new stroke pattern, the gaps are not shown, making the stroke a continuous one.
What am I doing wrong?
Microstation CONNECT Edition, version 10.16.02.34
Same issue in OpenRail, version 10.10.21.04
Its hard to tell from only a single screenshot, uploading the RSC file would make it easier to diagnose.
However, I don't see why you have a gap as the first segment of the style (far left). Try making that a Dash instead to see if that solves the problem.
Also ensure that your compound component is linked correctly.
You are right, it doesn't make sense to start with a gap. I changed this now, but it still doesn't show correctly.
I have attached the rsc file hereLineStyle_EMBL.rsc
Everything is showing up in my editor. I am using version 10.16.01.56. There were some previous editions that had issues with the line style editor where I would click on the stroke in the compound area and it would switch to the point definition. When I would just select the stroke pattern from the Components field I could view the stroke settings but, I think the preview box was blank or a solid line. I actually had to make the line styles in v8i. Maybe you can switch versions to see if that corrects the issue?
Microstation CONNECT - 10.17.2.61
ORD - 2021 R1 10.10.1.3
ORD 2022 R1.1 - 10.11.3.2
ORD 2022 R3 - 10.12.2.4
Microstation v8i SS 10 - 08.11.09.919
Power InRoads v8i - 08.11.09.615
ProjectWise - 10.0.3.453
It also shows up fine for me in V8i
I just tried Update 17 & it looks the same in that version.
