Hello guys,
I am currently using MicroStation connect 10 with windows 11 and I am wondering how I can get the xsl file in order to customize a standards checker report.
The main issue here is that I create a workspace and a worksheet where I have set up a dgnlib file for the standards checker.
So the checker works but when it comes to display the report I do not have the basic report. I have just some lines in a html webpage displaying in a sentence the report.
So before trying to customize the standards checker.xsl file. I need to know how to make MicroStation pointing to that file or place my dgnlib in the right place in order to make the whole thing work.
The thing is that my dgnlib is in this path:
C:\Users\Public\appllications\palette\Data\workspace\workset\dgnlib\
And the xsl file is in a standard location created during the installation of the software
C:\Users\Programmes\Bentley\Microstation\....\Data
Another thing is that do not have the writing rights for this folder so I am stuck.
I have read somewhere that we could define the path of the xsl file via an Ms_standardschecker_stylesheet but I can t find it.
So the issue is more about the right path of those files.
So I hope you guys understand my issue and I am counting on your help.
Hi Thanks for the reply,
I am close to reach my goal but I still do not have the xml right has you can see below:
Here is what I how I set the paths:
then standardschecker fil:

the variable settings
I don't know what is wrong for me, it should work as I follow your instructions. May be the dgnlib and the xsl file needs to be in the same folder, I don't know. I am looking for your thoughts ;-). The standardschecker file is joint to this message, but its the original I didn't touch it yet.
Thanks anyway.

MS_STANDARDSCHECKER_OUT

2112.standardschecker.xsl
here is the xsl file
I found out that I have this message when I open the file and the debug console with microsoft edge. May be the issue comes from here but I don't know how to fix it.
Unsafe attempt to load URL file:///C:/Users/Public/Applications/PALETTE_OUTILS_V1/reports/standardschecker.xsl from frame with URL file:///C:/Users/Public/Applications/PALETTE_OUTILS_V1/reports/report001.xml. 'file:' URLs are treated as unique security origins.

That's Microsoft Edge security. Try another browser.
Little update on my issue I found out that the new versions of browser such as edge and the last update always block by default the local path and there is no way except that enabling the following group policies intranetfilelinksenabled but after reading some articles I read that it could represent a security breach for a computer so I did not used this way.
The only way I found was to get the edge Dev app which as a run as internet explorer options which allows to display the XML file.
So may be this is something that Bentley should consider as the browsers do not allow to display local XML. This option will soon become useless as the people who only have Mozilla and edge on their computer won t be able to display the report.
Anyway thanks for the help.

Thanks for reporting your conclusions.
