Hi,
I've just got a couple of questions regarding display rule patterning.
1 - Can it be used for forward view? It works well for cut view, and can be used for back view.
2 - Is there any way to set patterning cell horizontal and vertical distance?
Best regards,
Tuan Le
A display rule for the forward section can be set in the display style dialog like the cut and back sections. As far as controlling the spacing this is handled by the pattern cell being used, though you can use the scale option in the display rule or set it to use annotation scale.

Thanks for the information David.
1 - I can't get patterning working for forward view using display rule. Is that WAD?
2 - So for displaying rule patterning, the spacing is control by the cell and the scale, there's no other way to set the horizontal/vertical spacing of the pattern?
Sample file attached. All cut/forward planes had been assigned to "Forward" display style which has patterning rule turned on. However only section with active "cut" plan shows patterning.

Thanks for providing the example design file. Looking at the Forward section it did not appear to cross the Slab element that you've drawn. When you create a section like this you always need to ensure that it actually cuts through the element that you want to section (see attached screen captures and new DGN file).

Forward Section Not Crossing Slab
Forward Section Moved So It Is Crossing The Slab
Once This Crosses The Slab You Can See The Cross Hatch Display

Hence my question: "can i use patterning with forward plane"? And by "forward"/"cut", I meant planes for clip volume:
Or another way of asking: "Can I get patterning/hatching without having the section plane cut through elements?"
