I am using Microstation V8i SELECTseries 10
Version 08.11.09.919
When I load Civtools the Message Center will say "Civtools loaded" But then I am unable to click on anything else, I eventually have to task manager > end task on microstation to be able to restart.
The only fix I have tried is I redownloaded Civtools but that did not work.
This is happening to other people in my office as well.
Copy civtools.rsc (c:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\System\data) from working computer to computer that's not working.
Hi Randy,
Thanks for the comment. When you performed this particular action, did this resolve the issue from what you know?Just wanted to confirm. Thanks,Jayson
Yes, Civtools opens normal on computers I've copied the "good" RSC file to.
Thanks Randy, this is very helpful!
We have searched the local C drive - and the workspace (server) drives - we cannot locate this file anywhere: civtools.rsc
It's a Windows hidden folder on the C: drive (C:\ProgramData\Bentley\)
Due to how our custom workspaces are configured, I was not finding CivTools.rsc in this location:C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\System\data
On a computer where CivTools was working, I opened MicroStation w/o using a custom workspace - then CivTools.rsc was created
I copied the CivTools.rsc created on the working computer - to our workspace location, made sure all users had Read/Write access
CivTools.ma is now working for all of our custom workspaces
Thanks alot for the clarification and information - it proved very helpful!
