Converted 2018 .DWG files into DGN files using Connect version 16. To open in connect solids looks good. To open same file in Microstation in V8i the solids turn into surfaces and no longer render properly.
Can you share the file for review?
CONNECT does have some type of elements that are not supported in V8i but they should show as extended or application elements.
