Hi All
I am facing a issue with a reference attachment
I want to attach a reference twice and have to assign different symbology for that reference.
but when I attach the same reference twice some times the other copy is disappearing some times that disappearing reference is visible then the other reference copy is disappearing its look like the same references playing hide and seek game please suggst what to do to show the refence .
I have noticed, at least with V8i, that copying nested references results in what looks like an un-nested copy. It's there, it's nested, but the nesting does not show. I don't know why that is, nor how to fix it. I usually open another drawing for a minute, then reopen the original and everything is fine.

It may be that Microstation is not allowing the redundant reference file. Your active file already has one instance of the reference attached so it ignores the second instance of the reference. There is a variable to change that behavior. I believe this was introduced for compatibility with AutoCAD.
I will need to find which variable that would be.
Check this Wiki. From v8i but should still be relevant

I know that (in V8i) you can attach a reference as many times as you like. You just have to give them different logical names. I do it all the time.

Have you assigned different Logical Names to each attachment? Logical names may not be duplicated. Two otherwise identical attachments are made distinct when you assign them Logical Names.
