F1 Key Opens Help While in Text Editor

Question

I have F1 set to Key Point Snap, but when I hit F1 while the Text Editor is open, it opens the help rather than setting the snap. How do I fix this?

HI Brian, Thanks for posting in our MicroStation Communities Forums. I would recommend the following: 1. File>Settings>User>Preferences>Help Settings category>Toggle OFF "Use Online Help" https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/36067/turn-off-access-to-online-help-documentation-in-microstation-connect-edition 2. Still in Preferences dialog>Input category>Toggle OFF ESC exits command. Press OK. Save settings (CTRL+f) and close out of MicroStation completely 3. Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Documentation Rename the folder titled "MicroStation" to something else like "MicroStation_old" Now, open MicroStation again. With the current settings, both the online help as well as the delivered help docs will not be loaded when pressing F1. It seems the issue presents itself because the focus is on the Text Editor and not MicroStation itself. If pressing F1 does not load your shortcut, press the ESC key to reset the focus, and then F1 again and your shortcut should work. Hope this helps! -Jayson P.
