Per the recent "Digital Currency" newsletter issued by Bentely - 13 October 2022. there was an article about Bentley Configuration Explorer and its availability.
i have downloaded this and looking to use it, however it appears that you can only run the configuration review against workspaces / worksets within the standard Bentley deploy location - C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces.
How do you get this to work for a configured location outside of the standard delivery location ? or is this not possible ?
Many companies run their configurations outside of the above location so would make sense that you could navigate to this location within the Configuration Explorer tool
I would like to know this too. I have only gotten it to work on "default location" workspaces, and it appears to be useless for networked configurations. Which essentially renders it useless in general.

That's been my experience too. That's why I don't use it.

Likewise, I only tested it out of curiosity, but it wouldn't work with my customised Workspace structure.
A -debug=5 switch and Notepad++ is all I need anyway tbh.
Thanks All - going to stick with Barry's tried and tested solution I've also been doing for a number of years...

Global Software Manager - MicroStation
MicroStation CE Update 16.3 | ProjectWise CE 3.4
Hi Stephen,I was able to get this to work with the following product versions:MicroStation CONNECT Edition 10.17.01.58Configuration Explorer CONNECT Edition 10.0.0.11
Here are my steps:1. Create custom configuration on network drive. In my case D:/CustomConfiguration2. Open ConfigurationSetup.cfg with Notepad located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\Configuration3. Add following syntax at the end of the file and save. _USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION = D:/CustomConfiguration/_USTN_CONFIGURATION = ${_USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION}Close the file.4. Open Configuration Explorer, add MicroStation from the Application Manager in the Tools tab5. Select Process Configuration and your custom configuration with WorkSpaces/WorkSets should display.
