If I now start the config manager,
the wrong workset list is read,
I have different workspaces, but only the last listed is loaded,
if I change the workspace, the workset list is not changing any more
so I can not load the correct variables to examine the configuration
working with the imported debugging *.txt file give too less possibilities

I really need an update for the configuration explorer

Hi Jayson, I used this to fix an issue with OpenRoads Designer not remembering the recent file history and WorkSpace/WorkSet history after closing the product. Thanks!

Hi,

the "configuration explorer" uses the " ConfigurationSetup.cfg" located in ...ProgramData/.... configuration;

now with MSu17 there is a possibility to use several configurations - the configuration explorer can NOT handle this - an update is needed
is this update planned and when could a working version be distributed?

we sure need this tool to handle with configuration variables

Hi Stephen,

I was able to get this to work with the following product versions:
MicroStation CONNECT Edition 10.17.01.58
Configuration Explorer CONNECT Edition 10.0.0.11

Here are my steps:
1. Create custom configuration on network drive. In my case D:/CustomConfiguration
2. Open ConfigurationSetup.cfg with Notepad located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\Configuration
3. Add following syntax at the end of the file and save.
_USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION = D:/CustomConfiguration/
_USTN_CONFIGURATION = ${_USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION}
Close the file.
4. Open Configuration Explorer, add MicroStation from the Application Manager in the Tools tab
5. Select Process Configuration and your custom configuration with WorkSpaces/WorkSets should display.

Likewise, I only tested it out of curiosity, but it wouldn't work with my customised Workspace structure.

A -debug=5 switch and Notepad++ is all I need anyway tbh.

I would like to know this too. I have only gotten it to work on "default location" workspaces, and it appears to be useless for networked configurations. Which essentially renders it useless in general.
