Hi all
Have you the same problem that I have noticed lately?I have problems with my connect version and the problem is the speed/response time that really has gone slow, I don´t know if this has to do with Acad 2023 combined with Microstation Connect edition Version:10.17.01.58 but something has happened. This is most when I have an civil Xversion DWG file as an referens file to microstationwhen everything inside Microstation is taking loooong time to process.
I start the question with this word to see if someone else has noticed the same problem.
regards
Tom
Hi Tom,
If you have a corresponding Civil 3d Object Enabler installed this overrides Microstation handling of DWGs and is much slower from what I've seen. Try uninstalling the object enabler and see if that helps.

Hi Mark
I don´t wan´t anybody to unistall civil 3d object enabler, this is not a solution for this problem. The civil 3d object enable is needed to handle information (proxy) from Acad civil to microstation and this is neccerary to have when working with acad civil and microstation!
With that said so I did an more deep investigation what and when this slow problem was uprising.
What I noticed was that in all of cases when this slowness was most up to date is when the dwg file had block reference with really density high hatch areas (It looks like filled areas but is really Hatch)
I solved this with the easy function of closed the level of this problem hatch !
But is this information (level) some important information to your work this easy solution is not working.
So my result of this of slow microstation when acad 2023 is installed on the same computer is that the object enabler is not the problem to this thread.
The problem is in information created in dwg file, fill areas in dwg that seems as fill can be hatch, in combination with some other spacial element as MTEXT, scale etc created in civil.
As I said I solved this when closed layers/levels that had the problem information but as I said, if you can´t do this then you have an prolem with speed and instable Microstation.

It could be compensated by Microstation if Microstation would use hardware acceleration for custom lines. For ACAD all lines are custom lines so that slows working with DWG format.
Hi MarkMy result after the test that showed no problem in microstation itself, the problem was as Mary B wrote "poor autocad drawings".
My result of investigation is related to this issue, but the answer to my question is not answered with any solution related to micrstation. The issue is not microstation but Acad DWG "Poor AutoCAD drawing" and don´t need any "unistall object enabler"
So Microstation users who have this issue is recommended to look thrue the information in DWG file rather than directly unistall object enabler
Best regards
And PSIf Oto:s suggestion is working I wote that Bentley is at least testing it, it would be great if we as microstation users did have the same "speed" when reading dwg files as ACAD usres //Tom
Makes sense, my understanding was that you got a performance drop after installing acad 2023. If that was not the case then the object enabler cannot be the cause.

Ok Mark
I didn`t know either, ACAD is pushing out updates and I install them, This problem could been within older ACAd versons (most likely) but versiaon I had at the moment I noticed this issue was ACAD 2023.
