yeah, sometimes I have to use autocad
Can an area pattern be exported to an Autocad to create a hatch? pat file
If you've placed a pattern within an area of a MicroStation design file this would most likely have used a cell library. As a cell library is the same format as a DGN file you could convert this to a DWG file quite easily but as AutoCad uses .pat files for patterning I have not heard of a method to convert to this format file. The standard "areapat.cel" that comes with MicroStation has an equivalent .pat that would be located in the same directory.

thanks Andrew for the feedback. I'm aware of the pat file. Autocad has a lame way of creating patterns (hatches)
