Hello All,
I am trying to help my son in law open plans for his house which was built in 2003.
He a copy of several files (I think from the builder), but they apparently cant load them into the versions of MicroStation which they are currently using.
I am happy to put the files up here, but judging from the names, they don't even look like cad files to me??
For what its worth, the file names are:
22114_p1.s122114_p1.sn122114_p1.sn222114.ecw22114_.tit22114_p1.dt122114_p1.dt2
Any ideas or suggestions?
regards

Hi Jon and Oto,
Thanks for this. I contacted the original engineers and they said they were using v8 of MicroStation. ( Not sure if this is what they used to create the files, or what they tried to open the files with)
I tried the isaV7DGN utility which gave the following results:
ISAV7DGN.EXE 22*
Design Directory of 22*
22114.ecw [no]22114_.tit [3d]22114_p1.dt1 [3d]22114_p1.dt2 [3d]22114_p1.s1 [3d]22114_p1.sn1 [3d]22114_p1.sn2 [3d]
7 Total files. 6 Design files.
What is my next step? Is there some way I could convert these files to a format where I could produce a large PDF, or print out some paper plans?
There was a "ISADGN" command line app which allowed to scan and detect if it is DGN. As it works now only for v7 I renamed it to ISAV7DGN to avoid confusion. Tool attached.
ISADGN Utility v1.0.0 Usage: isadgn fileMask [-D -2 -3 -B -F -S] -D - show Design files only [all files] -2 - show 2D Design files only [all files] -3 - show 3D Design files only [all files] -Byn - list files in Brief form [normal] -Fyn - list files in Full form [normal] -Sn - Show the file dimension [yes]

What is the exact version no. (e.g. v10.x.y.z) of MicroStation that you are using? Use key-in VERSION to see the version no. in the MicroStation Message Center, or Help→About MicroStation in the backstage.
VERSION
See this blog that shows you how to obtain MicroStation's version number.
If you're using an additional product (e.g. ProjectWise, OpenXxx) let us know about that too!

I don't recognise most of those. A MicroStation file by convention has extension .dgn. The one that stands out is .ecw — Enhanced Compression Wavelet. It's an old Intergraph image file format. They may be able to attach it as a raster reference.
.dgn
.ecw
