Hi everyone
Is it possible to create signature fields in MicroStation that become signable fields in a PDF plot?
Our current workflow for signing drawings involves opening every PDF and manually placing signatures using the tools in PDF X-Change or Adobe Acrobat. There must surely be a way to create "click-to-sign" fields from within MicroStation but all I can find is Signature Cells for signing the dgns themselves.
Hi, has anyone gotten this to work?: Digital Signature Fields (Bentley.com) I can't seem to get it to work when creating manual PDF's using a regular Bentley Driver pdf.pltcfg file. I've tried loading a Design Script File (dscript or .pen) and drew a line (mstn type 3) on level 1 and color 9 but it won't insert the digital signature field. I've attached a copy of the design script (copied from Bentley site) and a screen shot of the properties of the line in the file. Really not sure what I am missing here?
! Create a Digital Signature Field! The accumulated range box of the following elements! define the Digital Signature field in the PDF document.if ((level eq 1) and (color eq 9) and (type eq 3)) then action_item = field action_name = "Chief Engineer" action_type = digsig_field action_spec = "John Doe, P.E."endif
Did you ever get this to work?
Unfortunately I did not.
As I said before investigate Blue beam review studio and you'll solve the signature problem even in bulk pdfs and have a digital trail for audits. It has replaced paper mark ups at my last company forever.
