Hi
I tried but don´t find any easy solution to this visuell/plott problem.
DWG text with background fill, what is this? and can I in microstation avoid the backgroundcolor somehow?
In some cases when dwg file is delivered the text has an filled background on the text and sometimes it do not have it. What is this background and how can I get microstation to read the text as normat text (without the background fill)?
Is there an easy way to handle this in microstation woithout changing the source dwg file? this issue is related on active dwg file or dwg as an referens.
Example
dwg open in Acad 2023:
same file opened with connect edition:
PS, this is an titleblock but the same issue can be in normal drawing/model.
Best regards
Tom
Have you tried to hide the text field background?
I can only provide a German screenshot but maybe that helps:

Tom , have you tried to analyze the text properties to determine what the text is etc? Does it still print ok if so then I agree with the rest here its a text field and you can change your preferences to turn off the special highlight, that lets you know if text is plain text or Data fields..

Hi all
as long as Tom will not share a part of his dwg-file, we're stepping in the dark:
for your convienence I'm adding a dwg file with some dwg TEXT and dwg MTEXT examples,
Wth text background set ON element based (as autocad does not have text background text styled based) an TEXT with text fileds
Have fun.dwg_text_BACKGROUND_text_TEXTFIELD[ACADISO_mm].dwgdwg_text_BACKGROUND_text_TEXTFIELD[ACADISO_mm]_SCALE1_100.dwg
Can you change the backround settings (f. e. color) of the MTEXT background with microstation?
And or course the text filed background color is just a display setting and will not print, so it might not the real problem Tom has.

Frank
