I have an internal client, exchanging files with a bureau that distributes its files in DWF-format. I can see them via online viewers, like https://sharecad.org/ and https://viewer.autodesk.com/
I get an error, loading them into Bentley View (up15)
What do I do to read, maybe convert those files, short of installing AutoCAD?

DWF = Design Web Format. See this article about DWF. It's AutoDesk's proprietary format. MicroStation can't import a DWF file.

Ask for the original DWG files, which MicroStation can open without conversion.
