Good Day,
I have not yet experienced this issue before.
I am unable to access out network drives once PowerInroads is open, and can also not open a dgn from the network. Keeps asking to select the application but it does not show Bentley Microstation as an option.
Please can someone assist?
Are you using the windows "Run as administrator" that will cut network drives off.

I don't know anything about your setup...If you are working in the office, or are working remotely...How your software is configured...Could you please tell us what specific version of MicroStation/InRoads you are using? - that looks like V8i, but there are several versions of that. Specific version numbers are most helpful, but even SS2/SS4/SS10 tells us something.
You're right - I don't see network drives listed there. Do you see them in Windows Explorer? What version of Windows are you running, and have there been any updates recently?
I know that my MicroStation can't "see" my network drive if I am working over a VPN, and have not used Windows Explorer to "open" the drive first. I always have to got to explorer, just browse to my network drive, and then MicroStation will recognize it. I don't have that issue at the office where I am hardwired in.

Hi There,
Thank you for the reply. Herewith additional information.
I did uninstall the software this morning and reinstalled it.
I am working at the office so no connection through VPN.
Power InRoads V8i (SS10) Version 08.11.09.918
Through windows explorer all server drives are visible.
I did a test this morning, if the dgn is saved onto my desktop I can open the file but if I go onto any server and try open the dgn it says file can't be found. Tried the same on another works station and it works fine.
I did do both test with the software "Run as Administrator" ticked on and off.
I did switch this off and tried again but made no difference, the problem persisted.
At this point, you may need to get with IT or Bentley Support to troubleshoot.
Can you access other network files with other programs (Word, Acrobat, Excel)?
