My V8i stopped working earlier this year, and I have been trying to get help with this with no luck. When I tried opening it, this window pops up for like half a second, and it closes right away:
That can be a few things, but we could start with some questions about...do you have a custom configuration, or are you using it out of the box? What version of Windows are you running - V8i is certified for Windows 10, but could glitch with Windows 11.
Have you tried to Repair the installation?

I used the "out of the box" installation. I have Windows 10. I don't know how to repair the installation. How do I do that?
Easiest to simply remove and re-install. Have you tried starting it in "High Security" mode? Or run "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\ustation.exe" -restoreDefaults

I have installed and reinstalled it multiple times, and nothing has changed. I tried running the high-security version, and it does the same thing.
