In V8i, there was a MicroStation Basic Macro called Refinfo.bas that would write out a text file with information on all reference file attachments.
Is there an MVBA equivalent example of this available?

You need neither VBA nor any other programming language in CONNECT. You can write a Report. Here's how to write a Report on References.
