Hi,
im new to MicroStation (currently in training) and i wondered if it´s possible, to reassign the Left Click on the Mouse to the Spacebar, so that you could in theorie draw with the Keyboard alone.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Greetings
Tobias
Here is a brief interweb article on just that subject-www.wikihow.com/Use-a-Keyboard-to-Click-Instead-of-a-Mouse

Hi Tobias,

I am not sure how it can work:
Or is you aim to simulate the pushed mouse button, but to obtain coordinates from the mouse? I think it is not possible, even when an application can be probably written to add such functionality.

BUTTONACTION DATA is the keyin for a data point that you might be able to assign to a function key or keyboard shortcut (which was already mentioned). (+) Keyins or data point tentative point and reset - [Archived] AskInga Wiki - MicroStation - Bentley Communities. But as others have mentioned locating the position of the data point may still be your challenge depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

The key-in is "buttonaction data". Why does it need to be the space bar? Don't you need the space bar to give you an actual "space" text character? Won't a function key work just as well?

Thanks that is the command i was hoping to get. I only wanted to acomplish not to reach for the mouse every time i use the Key-In function and confirm the length i put in.
