POP UPS

This is an issue that you'll never find a consistent answer for. You can have your perfect set up with pop ups opening where you want them, but as soon as you change your screen layout (a common issue in the hotdesking hellscape of the current corporate world) all your popups will go flying off in inexplicable directions.

You can wrest some control by docking dialogues (the ones that can anyway) to a different application window, but other than that you have to keep hunting for your wandering tools.

What kind of pop up are you referring to? Info Popup (when you hover over some element etc.) and "Ribbon" Popup (pressing the Spacebar appear where the mouse pointer currenly is on your screen.

If you are referring to Dialog Windows you can find them in the Window List. They should be where you left them last time. Sometimes they go astray though...

As was already suggested, docking the desired pop-ups/dialogs to the MicroStation interface would be the best consistent option available. Once you dock them, you must Save Settings (CTRL+f) so they are in the same location for future sessions. Here is a Wiki article on this topic:

Sadly not all pop-ups/dialogues are dockable. Will this change in the future? Would be suuuuuper helpful to those of us whom regularly change screen layouts; usually not by choice.

I can understand how this would be a challenge if you had to routinely change screens.
Can you give some examples of the pop-ups/dialogs that you are referring to?
