Is there an updated version for the latest softwear for the enterprise 3d mouse?

I found this forums post but its an older version of the software

  • I am not aware of any updated driver for the 3DConnexion.

The extra buttons on the mouse should be recognized as xbuttons:

Once you know which button corresponds to each you should be able to assign tools/commands to each button.

  • But its seams the only commands it recognises as commands in the 3d mouse software are the following ones.

Walk Mode - Preserves the current elevation (Z position) of the camera (eye point) when moving forward or backward, but you can still explicitly change the camera height. If you find that you are inadvertently changing the camera height while in Walk Mode, you can open the 3Dconnexion Control Panel dialog and decrease the speed slider or you can enable the Dominant axes check box on the App Configuration tab. The default mode for the 3Dconnexion input device is Walk Mode.

    • Fly Mode - The camera automatically moves forward along its line of sight. There are no constraints on its direction of travel or camera tilt. Fly Mode works best when you disable the Dominant axes check box on the 3Dconnexion Control Panel's App Configuration tab.
    • Object Mode - Allows you to manipulate objects in view as if you are holding them in your hand.
    • Auto Level View - A view command that enables the camera if it is off and removes any camera tilt. It also attempts set the focal length based on what you are looking at in the view, which affects the pan/dolly speed

And in autoCAD the menu bar at the top is different as screen shot attached

This is what 3d connections said in there email.

    Dear Mr. Lee,

Thank you for contacting 3Dconnexion Support.

My name is Amro and I will be handling your case.

    1. Can I kindly ask you to provide more information regarding the software you’re working with (name, version)?

    1. I installed Microstation CONNECT edition version 10.16.02.34 and it has basic navigation and zoom as integrated 3D device support.

It is correct that the menu is not the same as other software. We advise our customers to contact the Customer Service of applications that are lacking support and further integration.
Please request to add it in future versions of their software.

The decision to include 3D support in their development schedule is often influenced by the level of customer interest.

I recommend that you contact Bentley developers and express your wish to make clear that this is a demand from their customers.

    1. If you have further feedback to share, please don't hesitate to reach out directly to our product team here: http://3dconnexion.com/feedback or by clicking on "Feedback" on the 3Dconnexion home panel. Every entry there will be reviewed by our product management team.

    Best regards,

    Amro

And this was posted on the 3d connections forums.

I just want the mouse to work like in autocad with direct access to the commands and not using key in macros like 6 + 1 for drop element.

    Kind regards,
    Mike Lee

The menu for microstation is as the other screenshot

The only commands you can used in MS are the ones listed above looks like.

Do you mean remap the commands above to match the mouse ? it’s the enterprise version of the mouse.

Someone posted on the 3d connectins forums to get you to add in the

  • If you want Bentley to consider adding additional support for your specific hardware, you should file a Service Ticket with Bentley Support. That is the official channel for support requests.

You can also create a post in the Ideas section to help build support for your request.

  • I thought this was support

These Forums on Be Communities provide informal peer-to-peer help.  is one of those who generously give their time to help others pro bono publico.  Posting a question here does not automatically gain the attention of Bentley Systems.

These Forums are not a formal support site, although several Bentley staff members contribute regularly.  A Service Request (SR) is the right course to take if you want formal support from Bentley Systems.
