I have (shared) cells with items. (That may be Title Block or any object symbology) The properties "belong" to that cell (they are attached to it). So you would expect (?) that when you move or copy the cell the item texts go along.
But no they are not... Why??? (You would need to collect them before you do move or copy) see this video
If i do the very same thing (plain and simple copy) in aC it works as expected. (the very same Block shared cell is copied just fine) Even without collecting the properties.
Moreover:
If do a copy-and-paste of a block (I like to copy my titleblock to another file) This works fine in aC. But if I try this in microstation all the field information is lost.
This not only happens with DWGs It is the same in DGNs.
Hi Gerd,
Could you please share the cell file?So that I can try at my end.
Thanks,Abhay
Hi Abhay,
dont be surprised. It is a dwg. The issues though would occur in a plain dgn the same. I have stripped the file down. You find two Layouts (Sheet models) where I want to copy the Block (Celkl) from one layout (A) to the other (B)
Then you may want to try do a copy of the file and then try to copy and paste the Block with Properties from the first file to the copy.
These operations seem to
1. Only be possible to be done if you collect block and properties beforehand in microstation
2. break the linked propery (labels)
All these operations can be done with cut and paste in aC withouth any ado. Meaning that you can copy-and-pase a block with properies. Even from one file to another through the clipboard
