Hello,
When a ref file is updated, I find that levels within that ref turns off inexplicably within the sheet file its referenced in.
Did the above issue ever happen to you? I was just wondering what the solution would be?

were the levels turned off in the reference file ?
do you not want reference level changes to be reflected to the sheets ?

The Ref file previously had all the levels on and I do want the reference level changes reflected on the sheets.
Are the levels that do not display new levels added since the last update? Are they levels that were turned off when the reference was initially attached?

They were the same levels from before and the levels were previously on. The strange thing is that some levels stayed on but others did not.
are these direct attachments to the sheets ? or do you have a master/container file that has the references attached, and then this is attached to the sheets ?
