  • Hi,

As  said there is no direct way to generate the TTF  from the RSC file In Microstaiton Connect Edition (Currently I am using Microstaiton Connect Edition update 16 and in Version 10.16.02.34).

But in Microstaion V8i version we have the option to get the TTF fonts in temporary location with folder name GeneratedTTFonts.

Could someone please confirm do we get TTF  form RSC in Microstaiton Connect Edition (same as in Microstaion V8i version)?

  • I believe the  ISOCPEUR regular  is equivalent  to intl_iso ( well so an  acader tells me) ... so I searched  google and  found site for  FREE ttf fonts

    https://www.dafontfree.net/isocpeur-regular/f130159.htm

now once you have it, how you add it  so msnt  can see  it  is another  issue and so can all other  users is another problem and  if you  have clients that want the  actual cad  files at project completion then that is a big  problem for  client to also have the external font added .. but I'm sure getting it for just in house is  achievable..

TrueType fonts should be installed to the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.  The fonts become available to all apps and all users.

A TrueType font must be installed on each and every computer where it will be used.  That's a Microsoft requirement, nothing to do with MicroStation.

If you have clients that want the actual CAD files at project completion then that is a big problem for client to also have the external font

The package delivered to the client should include the font and the client must install a TrueType font onto each of their Windows computers.  Installing a font requires Windows admin rights.  In contrast, a MicroStation RSC font is simply data that can be copied to a network location and shared like other MicroStation resources.  You're right to raise this issue and perhaps   might like to consider his reasons for requesting a TrueType font.
