Hi,
I am a Civil 3D person who uses the program in civil works (road and railway projects, basically).
I started to use Microstation Connect Edition V8i recently and kindly need to know if there are any tutorials for beginners to get familiar with the cadding tools in Microstation.
Thanks,
Mamdouh
Hi Mamdouh, are you aware that pure microStation is like pure Acad. If you are a Civil user and look for "CADDing Tools" you may have road and railway functionalities in mind. There are Civil specific product lines (based on microStation) that provide those functionalities and that you probably will not find in vanilla microStation. Just saying.
Basic functionalities will be the same though. I guess you can upgrade if that makes sense.
many thanks Gerd, i got your point.
Learning the microStation basics still is a valid approach, As the basic functionalities apply to all craft specific Applications, as they are mostly based on the same tech microStation power platform (if they still call it that).
thanks again Gerd, yes you are right . I am very familiar with Civil 3D/Autodesk but noticed that Microstation tools and commands work a bit differently. But I think it is just a matter of time to get used to Bentley software.
