Microstation Place text with "predefined" text

Unfortunately not. 

Best is to create a MSBASIC macro.

This macro uses key-in: "place text 'string" 

frazes.zip

They did add this in Connect- "Text Favorites"

depends  on how automated you want  it, and  how  many different texts do you want?

A couple  of ways ( I used v8i)

1. you can create your own custom menu pull down to find all the texts quicker that list all the texts  you set up  with the place text and  the string  in quotes, but dont try to use too many as  it defeats the  purpose to make  long  lists. and  use the  cut copy paste text into your text editor.

2. make cell library with all your permutations  of  custom cells text  and use a custom menu pull down for easy finding.

3. if you  only have a  few say  up to 5  or  so then create a  custom drg with the texts  and use it as  reference file  and then attach and  copy  paste what you want  now you can define a  keyin to attach this  ref file via a  F key  RF=" define full path and file name"  you'll need to look up attach ref to work out how many  commas follow but I no longer  have access to mstn  to check the help... but its  quit simple , remember to use quotes especially  if  there are spaces in path.

I'm not sure if CE has  favourites  for entire words  or  sentences.

Here is an old AskInga link to a utility for placing repetative text. This works with CONNECT. If you know how to edit the code you can add your own predefined text.

I added the predefined text in the bottom half of my utility.
