Adding Keyboard shortcuts in Microstation Cnnect Edition

Hi, 
 
 Are there any restrictions on adding\modifying keyboard shortcuts in Microstation connect edition? I tried to follow the same steps for doing this in V8i version as well as the instructions about it for the Connect edition in the link below, but it does not seem to work.

Keyboard and other shortcuts are separated 
 They are also limited to 256 total characters in total length when chaining Key Ins together 
 You need to have focus on a view window for them to activate correctly. 
 
 The dialogue you are looking at 
 Keyboard Shortcuts Key In accudraw dialog shortcuts Is restricted to only lower case letters and symbols, space bar, and no numbers (numbers are available for sub-menus) AND you cannot use modifier keys with them (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) I would also avoid using number pad characters and the following characters, as they are used in some tool-specific dialogues and can cause operational error.

 Inexplicably Bentley's educational videos INCORRECTLY reference the backtick ` as its uppercase tilde ~ character... Huge blunder there

F keys Key In dialog funckeys 
 Are restricted to 1 to 12, but you can use any of the four modifier combinations between NONE and Shift+Ctrl Whilst they are available, I would avoid all combinations containing ALT as they tend to invoke Windows commands ahead of MicroStation and negatively impact your work.

Mouse Buttons 
 Mouse Button shortcuts eight modifier combinations between NONE and Shift+Ctrl+Alt (except for NONE+Data and NONE+Reset). I would avoid Ctrl+Data as it interferes with the Element Selection tool. 
 Button availability is mouse driver dependant, but you can hopefully specify what XButton number they are in the Remap Button sub-dialogue if Microstation recognises a unique input from the mouse's driver. By default the middle mouse button, which has become the scroll wheel button for most mouses is Xbutton 1. You can combine any simultaneous two button press together as a 'Chord' to create a new Xbutton. Right+Left chord is the default Tentative mapping, but can be remapped.
