I have two accounts with Bentley Communities, and have had them for some time.
I have the business account, which is connected to my employer for IMS authentical for licensing, support and such. This account is not perpetual, in that if I were to change employment, I would be assigned a different account. This will hereafter be referred to as "BM"
I also have a personal Communities account that I have had for about as long as there have been Communities. I have the personal account so that I can maintain a consistent online presence, and so my participation is not limited to my time at any certain employer. Hereafter referred to as "MB"
In the past, it seems that I have been able to log into certain portions of the Bentley site with one account, while logging into another area with the other account. For example, I could stay logged into Communities as MB and I could open another browser tab to the Service Request Manager and log in as BM. This never seemed to cause any issues unless I accidentally chose the wrong account for a certain area (easily fixed).
Today, I attempted to go the the old Service Manager so that I could try to collect whatever is left of my old service requests since they will no loner be available through the new "service portal". I was unable to log into that site separately since I was logged into my communities account. Fine. I logged MB out so that I could turn around and log BM in. That was only so successful (but that's a separate issue). With my business completed at the moment, I attempted to log out of BM and I got the following error message:
I'm sure Bentley will get you straightened out eventually. But the Communities account is not necessarily tied to your license or official Bentley stuff like Select. I happen to use just one account for both, but I see no reason you can't have 2 separate ones.

It's just so strange that I can't log out. I've never had any problems switching back and forth before.
Yea, well, they just set up a new "platform" for service. And they're not real skilled, rarely troubleshoot their stuff (ala Connect).
In 50 years of computing I've found Strange to be the norm. Though the real old stuff was always pretty solid if very limited.
Yeah, I've been here for most of it. (AKA MaryB)
I suspect they've done some kind of "updates" to the IMS in preparation for the new portal. Or other "updates" in the name of progress. When I try to access the Communities "Feedback" forum, I get a message that page is not found. I have an email that one of my messages was moved to that forum, but the forum itself can't be located - not even from the link in the email!
Something got loose in the wild...
as Engineering Technicians we always want to know what's happening. Sometimes we just need to have it fixed and forget about iy.
A few months ago my communities stuff all disappeared. Still had the account, just no history or other evidence I'd ever been here. They put it back the way it was. I thought I was being banned or otherwise censored.
