Hi!
I have a note with an associated dimension element and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to discern what level my "note" is on. I can click under properties and drill down to the dimension and it shows me that it is on level "PR BORDER":
And that is fine and is the level i want it to be on...but when i go to print, my 'note' and not the associated dimension 'leader line' has transparency:
Thing is, my level is not set to any transparency:
When I click on note in the properties dialog box, there is no way to see the level it is on or modify any transparency settings:
I've spent hours trying to figure this out and ive looked into dimension styles and text styles and do not see any transparency settings on those. How can i just simply find which "level" my "note" is on?
Many, Many thanks in advance!
To find out what level the note and dimension is on, you can use the Drop Element tool and select "Dimensions". Then you can check each element for the level structure. But I am assuming that both the note and the dimension is placed on the same level.

This is very ingenious! I did such and discovered that the text was on a different level than the associated dimension:
Still not understanding how I can change the level of the text without dropping the element. It's a nice element because I can move the text and the leader (dimension) will adjust accordingly. Maybe I just need to learn how to make them associated again after dropping them, but I think that is above my pay grade . Many thanks Terry!
And now that I am looking at my screen shot...how can my "color" for the text node "varies across"?
Experiment with this....
Under Dimension Styles, go to Advanced Tab....Go to General...Placement....Change the Level to your desired level structure...
When you dropped the dimension, you saw that the note and the leader line was on different levels. Ensure that you do not have a transparency over ride on that particular level. Also, If you place a dimension and your active transparency is set to whatever....then that dimension and note was adopt that transparency set. So make sure that your transparency is se to zero before placing notes and leader lines.
To change attributes, Under Dimension Styles, go to Symbology Tab...Here you can change everything, except the level...To change the Level, go to the Advanced Tab as stated above.
