Before publishing a drawing into PDF:
The drawing works above looks alright and the text is clear to see.
After Printing to PDF:
As you cans see in the above pic, the font does not look good.
I just realized that an easy fix seems to be to just change the font for the words, But, because these same words (as you can see above) appear in multiple drawings, is there a way for me to edit theses words that will also edit the words in the other drawings? Thank you!
Hi David,
Your font problem is probably caused by the line weight mapping being used for printing. I suggest that you refer to Print Resymbolization in the MicroStation documentation for more information on how to control the visual characteristics of elements within a design file when they are printed.

Hi Yohana,Thanks for your post in our MicroStation Product Communities forum.A quick fix might consist of toggling on the rasterized option within the Print dialog before printing. Try both options (On and Off) just to see if it makes any difference.Rasterized versus Non-Rasterized Printing
For more sustainable solutions, the first thing I would check is what kind of font is used? (RSC, SHX, or TTF)If you check the text's properties/element info, check and see what symbol is next to the font name. The "B" symbol will be RSC font, the "TT" symbol will be TTF, & the other remaing symbol will be SHX. Determining the font type might give us some clues as to next troubleshooting steps.
Lastly, if you navigate to File > Edit Printer Driver Configuration > Font Maps tab, you can control some settings affiliated with printing text fonts.Ron is also correct about the possibility of line weight mapping. If you would like to explore this further, please file a Support Case with us online and reply to this thread with your Case number (CSxxx.....).-JP
I believe that your text elements have a higher lineweight, so they are printing thicker. Change the lineweight of those text elements, or the level they are on, to 0 or 1 and let us know if that makes a difference.
RSC fonts use the lineweight attribute, but not all RSC fonts look good with a heavy lineweight.
