This was something Id looked into several years back, and asked help from Bentley who Id spoken with over the phone, but those assisting couldn't quite get things working as we needed.
Its been such a long time that I don't even remember the function that was then available on Microstation v8i
I think we used a spread sheet to first find and then replace the levels of object/s with a similar.. for example.
From this level "EP-EP-In_Running_Wiring-U-P" to "EP-EP-In_Running_Wiring-U-E" and thus keep attributes the same, only the level and colour to be changed.
Im trying to get this working again as it could have been very useful, and was thinking there has been quite a few years development since, there might be an obvious option Im just not aware of.?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated..!

Please clarify your position.
Why do you need a spreadsheet? How does a spreadsheet 'find and then replace levels' in MicroStation?
'Objects with a similar' what?

Basically Im trying to find / create a function that will move items from one level to another, this is for the purpose of automating As-built drawings.
Is there anything that could do this available within Microstation Connect.?
Not sure it was an Excel spreadsheet, might have been something native to Microstation.. my recollection is not clear as was a long time ago.
All I remember was that we got the tool very close but didn't quite get it to a usable state
Ive done a little more digging and think it might have been connected to this tool, it was remapping the elements from a level to pre-determined different level. This example seems to be just for one level at a time, I remember being able to auto change levels, for all levels contained within a list.I think there might have been a VBA involved that was activated via a key-in or similar
This looks similar to what I remember, this was going back over 4-5 yearscommunities.bentley.com/.../element-remapping-macro
what about looking at the batch convert tool and the level mapping option for the V8 file format ?
