Hello,
I'm new to using Microstation v8i from CAD. Right now whenever I open a dng it opens another page that is just a grey blank screen. If I try and close it, the page with my drafting also closes. Its also annoying because the command prompts for certain commands will pop up on the blank page and I have to drag them back over. This is only my second day on Microstation and it may be an easy fix, but I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Thank you! A lot of the command prompts were getting sent to the other page and I would need to open those to access them.
Check your Preferences. You may have MicroStation set to open more than one Application Window. If you set that off, you should get your screen more to your liking.
Many of us work with more than one application window to give us more working "real estate". But I know AutoCAD folks aren't used to that.

Hi Matt,
Try these steps as a test:1. Close out of MicroStation completely2. Open Task Manager3. End all Bentley tasks (all Apps & Background Processes as well)4. Rename the Bentley folder that is located here:C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Renaming to something like "Bentley_Old" will suffice5. Open MicroStation and see if the problem persists

Hi Matt,Based on what you described, it may be a good idea to reset your user prefs and delete temp files.
