I am working with a client to update their workspace from v8i to CONNECT/ORD. We created some custom ribbon menus that utilize keyins to load an Element Template & start the Place Cell & Rotate tool.
The keyin is "template active Annotation\Plan\Drawing\Pipe Flow Direction Arrow;place cell rotate point;lock useannotationscale on;%d;reset"
When the keyin is used I receive a message.
The tool settings dialog opens and it has the proper cell loaded. There is no cell anchored to the cursor as expected and clicking a data point on the screen yields nothing.
In the tool settings dialog is a magnifying glass and clicking that does nothing.
Any idea why this no longer functions properly? It works in Microstation SS10
The 16-bit characters tell that it doesn't correctly handle unicode strings. Could be related to cell name or path to it. Works for me with similar cell names in "C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation 2023\MicroStation\Default\Cell\stencils.cel"But found another issue it incorrectly displays tags and trying to fill them crashes Microstation.
Alternative is to use key-in: place cell icon;set item toolsettings cellinteractiontype=1;place cell interactive absolutebut it is not elegant solution why the "place cell interactive" can't set it to rotate. Also there "place cell along keyin" which doesn't work. Seems no one actually tested the cell tools.

That works but for some reason I need to click 2 times before it actually places the cell.
