I have a field being used in my title block. It comes from the model name or model description. But because the name/description is to long to fit into the space available, I need to have a carriage return. Is it possible to add the carriage return to fields?

A text field is text. More accurately, text in a text node. Each text element is aligned with the others but displaced horizontally. Use the ANALYZE ELEMENT command to see details.

MicroStation text is not like a word processor, and doesn't understand carriage returns or new lines. The nearest you get, when you type a carriage return, is the automatic creation of a text node that has text elements placed vertically to show visually a multi-line paragraph.

Thank you. Did not get what I wanted but it answered my question.
While you can't add a carriage return into your field, you may be able to use the grips on that piece of text to drag it to the proper size?
