[MS 2023.00.01.44] pasting text with annotation scale bug

we are following this request via Service Case CS0090490. Apparently, when attempting to copy text into a pre-existing text element, MicroStation past it with a default dimension of 0.005. Because of this scale difference, a zoom action is performed to make the copied text visible, which makes a bit complicated to keep working on the text box.

To restore the view of the text window to its original size, it is necessary to align the text to the same scale. 

I shared these information to our developers to further investigate this behaviour.

So...they fixed the font issue alone, but didn't get around to the rest of our request?
By default, pasted text should take on either the active text settings (if pasted into a blank dialog) or the existing text style of the text already in the dialog box. There is NO reason for pasted text to have some hard-coded value that we didn't choose and can't adjust. The user should have control over the appearance of text placed into the drawing, not the developers' whim.

Maybe they can use the recent 7% raise of the select service fee to find some more experienced developers.

Why is there a "default dimension" that has nothing to do with the active text settings, or the existing text settings? Where do we find it and how do we change it? The "default" should be the size of the text style already set for the dialog when the text is pasted.

All I can say is this worked a lot better pre-Connect. Connect has several bugs in the text routines. But hey, we're only on like the 20th revision, I expect too much..................
