[MStn 2023.0.1] WMTS still dysfunctional disaster :-(

this post is a continuation of this earlier discussion about WMTS in CE U17.1. Because 2023.0.1 was released with promises of "plenty of fixes", I tested again how WMTS works in MicroStation.

I used the same service: The most important geospatial data source in Czech Republic: ČUZK ( State Administration of Land Surveying and Cadastre). Results are even worse than were in CE U17.1 ... nothing works! I do not know whether it is because "enhancements and fixes" in MicroStation or WMTS services were upgraded, but that is not important. MicroStation is worst from products I know.

Tested data:

• ortophoto
• cadastral map

Tests overview:

• Wmts file creation: Seem it works (at least the file itself is created, even when no data is displayed in preview)
• Attached to model with no GCS assigned: MicroStation crashes nearly immediately, but xwmts remains assigned, so when model is opened again, it crashes again.
• Attached to model with GCS assigned (tested EPSG 5514, 102067, 4258, 32633): Attached, but nothing displayed, boundary displayed in wrong position

BTW Why, when new WMTS is selected in Geospatial Context workflow, assigned GCS is required (but not, when I go through Raster Manager)? Although it is highly recommended, it should be not mandatory (used GCS should be set in xwmts file itself, but it looks like it was removed). Nearly 100% of files of my customers have no GCS assigned, because normally only one system is used (S-JTSK, usually EPSG 5514).

So the new version is big disillusionment, situation is even worse than in the past, although issues were reported including data, ticket created, and discussed also by other users already in the past.
