Where are explorer settings stored?

Can you please provide the product that you are using, it's version number what setting in explorer are your particularly looking for?

U16, but am seeing it in newer versions as well. We noticed that the sheet index tool is not visible for us in explorer. I am trying to see what controls the explorer settings so i can do a bulk fix for everyone.

What do you mean by not visible, can you provide a screen shot of what you see?

I am not at my computer, but if you open Explorer Settings, there is an option to make the sheet index not visible in the explorer. Somehow that is set as not visible for multiple people. I am just trying to see where is that controlled at so I can fix it.
