We have been developing Print Organizer usage for the past 2 years to make way for Batch Plotting to no longer be available to us in future versions of Microstation. In both Select Series 10 and Connect Edition 16 the PO is unbelievably slow. Always has been. Plotting 20 drawings takes almost 10 minutes start to finish. The most time consuming part seems to be when the files are being dropped into the pset window after being pulled out of Projectwise. I've read many forums threads but no one seems to be saying that they are ever able to speed this up. I've tried making sure everything is in read only and tried using a blank 3D seed file to plot from. None of this has affected the speed. It seems strange that the old batch plotting routine is so speedy but yet the new process can be so unbelievably slow in comparison. Any ideas what can be done to speed this up?
Question - do you have any raster images attached, or are you plotting with the Rasterized option turned on, those are both the biggest time sink for me.

There are no images attached and I have the rasterized option turned off. I tried this a while back. I think I had ran across your suggestion on another post somewhere, and tried it. It didn't seem to have an affect on my slow plotting.
Are you plotting files out of Projectwise? I am just curious how much of my issue is from plotting out of PW. I plan to take a set of drawings out and plot them outside of Projectwise to see if it has anything to do with the speed.

I plotted V8i inside pwise and as long as I used batchplt.ma it plots to pdfs fast, but if I used PO it was very slow, I we used the renditioning option in pwise it was slow to come back with job done I think it was due to too much extra traffic on network but good old batchplot.ma not effected by this.. unfortunatley in CE no option but to use PO as batchplat.ma removed from CE, but is still there with keyins in V8i...

I do notice a slowdown on ProjectWise vs. just the network or local files. I think that has to do with the fact the ProjectWise has to actually download all of the files and all of the references locally in order to plot, while plotting from a local/mapped drive just requires the file to open.
