Freeze and thaw commands

Didn't these commands also work on custom linestyles?

It may be my memory plaing a trick on me, but I thought there was a way to freeze a linestyle and later restore it to normal.

  • why bother? if somebody wants to screw with your drawings they  can undo  whatever you've done... in a corporate world they are not considered your drawings but ours and edits need to be done by whoever is available... sad but true... BTW I dont think you can edit a dimension by mistake... its always on purpose..... Slight smile

  • It's a client (caltrans) requirement. I don't think they care if the dims are frozen or dropped but I like the fact that frozen dims can be thawed again for editing.

For more explanation, the refs are merged into the drawing sheet which is ansi-D size. But the checkers like to scale the sheet to actual (model) size for checking, and they don't like it if active dims change as they scale the drawing.
