I was experiencing the problem just after entering the design and opening Word Processor and Symbol Selector for the first time in that MS instance. It appears to work now (every?) time. I post here if problem arises again.

I've seen some problems if you have the symbol selector open, and then change fonts, it won't always switch correctly (i.e. you may get the no TrueType equivalent found error). If you close it, switch fonts, then re-open, I think it works more reliably.

Strange strange strange, now it works in XM. Not sure what is going on. I seem to be getting random failures which are not Workspace or file specific. I will try rebooting to see if message appears.

Ok this is strange, works now in V8i but not XM (worked in neither yesterday). The message in XM is "No valid true type font found for ENGINEERING."

When trying to place a centerline symbol from the Engineering font I recieve (thake that back used to recieve) a message stating TrueType Font in available of that font (or something like that - works now?). I just tried it to get the message correct and it appeared to generate the TT font for Engineering on the fly. Would you have any insight as to why this didn't work yesterday?

The symbol selector in V8i is supposed to support all three font types; do you have a specific font for which it does not work?
