Place multiple points or cells along element @ specific distance

How do I place a series of points or cells along an element/chain at a specific interval. Say I have a chain that is 32' long, the chain is not straight but has multiple curves. I want to place a point or cell every 3.75' along this chain in basically one command; how do I do this?

Search the download section for a tool called CellTool. It should do what you want.

Have you tried the keyin : CONSTRUCT POINT DISTANCE ? That should get you the Construct Active Point ( or Cell ) @ Distance Along Element command. Hope this helps........

I've actually tried this, but it only places one point at a time. The toolbox "cell tools" has a command in it called "place cell along" which does what I was looking for (this was suggested in another reply by Ivo Blaauw).

Try the Construct Array Tool and change the Method to Along Path. This should do the trick.
